After work I met up with my wife and her friends in Kannai. They were having a festival there. I was tired but I love festivals because of the food!
The food is awesome! They always have my favorites which are tako yaki, okonomiyaki, yaki soba and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember the names of. It's fairly overpriced but who cares, It's delicious.
This area looked really cool, all those lanterns lit up the street and created a warm atmosphere. Sometimes stuff like this makes me enjoy where I live.
They had this shrine/temple that had an area where you can throw in 5 yen make a wish and then ring a bell. It was packed with people wanting their dreams come true. But all I wanted was to go get more food!!
Man, I really wanted to eat everything they had but I only had a little bit of money... The food is what makes these events more enjoyable. Oh and beer!! Just don't buy it from the vendors, it's a rip off. Buy it a convenience store it is cheaper.
They always have these games where you have to catch fish and you win some price. I enjoy watching people catch the fish more than I would enjoy playing it.
It's awesome being able to drink in public without being harassed by the police. They just let people have a good time! It's a drastic change for me being from Los Angeles. They are there to help people if they need it.
I can't wait for all the festivals in the winter time!
Enjoying life in Japan!!! Pictures of punk, people, food, places and other cool stuff from Japan!
